Closing out the 2016 Virginia Duck Season
Since our hunt last weekend got canceled due to the superstorm, we rescheduled for the last weekend in the season.

- Knocking the rust off

- It was dark and everyone was in camo. I ended up putting HB in a boat with a bunch of strangers. She was out in the blind without us for about an hour.

- Ready

- The river started breaking up upstream, and the ice started washing our decoys down the river. We had to run out and save them.

- Then we had to wait for the ice to pass by.

- So we burned a couple stogies
-
- and took some pictures

- Finally the river cleared up some, so we put the decoys back out and got back to hunting

- HB with her first duck, a drake bufflehead
-
- Since we saved the decoys and didn’t see many ducks, they let us come back the next morning free of charge
-
- It was a beautiful day
-
- Worn out
