I drove out to Gtown to row today. My buddy RP left me high, but not dry.
Since school just started, Thompson’s had their catamaran trainers out. It was pretty cool for me, because thats where my love of rowing started.
It was a beautiful day out on the water. I ran alongside a few 8s, and got to see what I must have looked like at that age. There was a diminutive female coxswain with a deep intense bark in one of the 8s. I missed the old days, but much prefer the scull. After my row, at the dock, a bunch of Georgetown rowers were learning to scull in some kind of wide two-man rowboat. They looked pretty jealous of my (admittedly amateurish) skills. A learn to row class was heading out, so I practically had to paralled park right next to them on the dock. It might not have looked pretty, but I got the job done. Hopefully I can make it out at least one more time before the end of the season.
