It starts out light and poppy with Paul McCartney, Wham, Colbert, and Albert King.  Then we get into some classics.  One must consider, who has the best southern xmas song of all time: Alan Jackson or Brooks & Dunn.  A few more classics, some lesser known songs, and then all bets are off.  For those wondering, our family traditonally listens to Boz Scaggs on xmas, which stems from an xmas celebrated at Davidson College with a turntable and some Boz Scaggs records but no xmas records.  Enjoy and happy holidays.

To kick off the fall, we went to a family friend’s bonfire party.

EF was a little nervous around the horses and fire, but horses and fire are scary for good reason.  #smartbebe

We went to the fall Richmond race.  We also planned to smoke a brisket and go dove hunting, but our landowner canceled day-of on us…  Still not real happy about that one.  Had a great weekend though.

Last year, my Mom and Dad crowdfunded a coffee shop in my Dad’s hometown.  I’m really proud of their accomplishments and how they give back.  The coffee shop provides jobs, but it also gives the town a gathering place that has been absent for some time.  I think is was a great idea, and I’m glad we could be a part of it.
